What are your business hours?

How do I book an appointment?

How much do counselling sessions cost?

Accepted Answer

I offer a free, 15 minute consultation to see if we are a fit, after that, sessions are as follows:  
$145 for 50 minute session for individuals   
$225 for a 75 minute session for multiple clients (family or couples)

How do I pay for services?

Accepted Answer

Payments are due at the end of each session. You may pay by e-transfer, or you can choose Auto Pay by adding a credit card to your secure Jane client portal. Most clients choose to pay by credit card through Jane. Access to your secure portal will be provided after your first counselling session is confirmed.

Do you take insurance?

I am unable to directly bill insurance providers, however I am happy to provide you with documentation to submit to your insurance company. Some insurance providers cover sessions by a Registered Social Worker, some do not, please check with your insurance provider about your specific coverage before our first session if having your sessions covered is needed.

Why Virtual Counselling?

Due to the changing nature of our society, e-counselling has become a necessary treatment option. For many reasons, such as social anxiety, a need for privacy, scheduling and travel challenges, some people feel most comfortable with this option. This option is necessary for those people looking to access my services from other communities. This secure option can be facilitated based on your schedule and allows you to access Lucy Price Counselling Services from home, work and anywhere in the world where you have internet access.

Do you provide receipts?

I have a paperless system and do not provide paper receipts, you can access your invoices and receipts at any time through your secure, private client portal.

Can I book counselling in person?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Lucy is currently able to offer some in-person counselling appointments. Please complete the consultation request form on our contact page, and Lucy will follow up about availability.

What confidentiality standards are you required to meet?

Accepted Answer

Everything you tell me will be kept strictly confidential, unless there is a concern of imminent harm towards yourself or another person, or unless I have your direct, written authorization and consent (in cases of referrals, speaking to another care provider or consulting with other professionals in order to provide you the best treatment).

Also, please note that if I happen to see you outside of our sessions, I will not acknowledge you unless you acknowledge me- this is to protect your privacy- not because I am ignoring you!

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

Accepted Answer

I require 24 hours notice to cancel an appointment, you may cancel your session through your client portal or by email. Cancellations within twenty four hours will be charged the full session fee. I do understand that emergencies happen, if this is the case, please contact me to discuss.
