COUNSELLING SERVICES

ADDICTIONS COUNSELLING

Many people will struggle with problematic substance use in their lives; if you or someone you love is struggling, Lucy can help.

Creating a life free from the need to escape or numb is challenging, but it’s absolutely possible. Lucy is here to walk beside you on your recovery journey, providing unwavering support as you uncover your resilience and build the fulfilling life you deserve.

CODEPENDCY RECOVERY

Codependency is a pattern of behaviours developed to navigate a dysfunctional family or relationship. It affects our ability to set healthy boundaries and choose relationships that support our well-being.

At its core, codependency stems from a deep desire to be seen and heard, yet it often leaves us feeling drained, resentful, and isolated.

WORKING WITH THE INNER CHILD

Our origin stories shape who we are. Understanding and uncovering the patterns we’ve adapted, often from childhood, helps us live with intention.

Whether facing unhealthy relationship dynamics or struggling with low self-worth, examining the messages imprinted on us during our formative years can be transformative.

ADDICTIONS

Lucy understands that no two paths to healing are the same. Her clients continue to be her biggest teachers, shaping her approach to counselling.

Lucy has a deep commitment to working collaboratively with her clients to find the recovery path that resonates the most with your values and needs.

The saying, "There are many paths up the mountain," holds profound truth in addiction recovery. You are the expert of your life, and Lucy believes her role is to offer guidance, empathy, and tools to support your chosen path.

Together, Lucy explores what works best for you, creating space for growth, authenticity, and transformation.

CODEPENDENCY

Recovering from codependency requires examining the root causes of our unhealthy coping patterns. Self-compassion is vital as we learn to sit with discomfort and move away from survival skills that no longer serve us. Reflecting on core beliefs and values clarifies areas needing attention, helping create a concrete plan for living in alignment with who we truly are.

A safe, supportive space dedicated solely to your healing journey is essential to this process.

In this space, you can explore your needs, reclaim your voice, and build healthier, more authentic relationships with yourself and others. Together, Lucy can help you create that space and navigate this journey with intention and care.

INNER CHILD

We tend to gravitate towards what feels familiar, even if it isn’t healthy or productive - this can leave us feeling stuck, encountering the same challenges repeatedly.

Lucy is deeply passionate about working with individuals who experienced trauma, neglect, or abuse in childhood, helping them unpack and make sense of their past experiences to create meaningful change in their adult lives and relationships.

Lucy believes that unlearning deeply ingrained beliefs and patterns is essential to breaking these cycles and living a more balanced and fulfilling life. By exploring these old wounds and the messages they carry, we can begin to heal and transform the way we approach our present and future. Lucy will help you work towards creating new paths that lead to growth, authenticity, and healthier relationships.

TESTIMONIALS

"I first met Lucy when I arrived at a second stage recovery house. She told me that she would move mountains to help me be successful in my recovery, and she followed through on this promise, without hesitation, every step of the way. Today, I can honestly say that I would trust her with my life. Lucy loved and supported me just as much when I was being defiant and unreasonable as when I was growing, healing, and finding small successes. Her combination of compassion and candour makes her a miracle worker in my eyes. Lucy can be gentle, but she takes no shit; you always know where you stand with her. Her genuine desire to see her clients get well is evident in all aspects of her practice, and she will fight fiercely for your healing.

It is astounding how transformative it can be to have someone believe in you so hard that you begin to believe in yourself. Lucy helped me find hope again. She is a gifted therapist, and I am forever grateful for her help through one of the darkest times in my life."
